We are experiencing a strange problem with Virus Scan Enterprise 8.5i and the execution of login scripts.
Prior to the upgrade of the Virus Scan users could login and the login scripts would execute as expected. Now, in some cases, the PC's hang when attempting to execute these scripts and have to be rebooted.
I have found that disabling the Framework service, allowing the user to login executes the scripts as normal. Restarting the service and allowing the user to log back in results in the scripts executing as normal and the issue is resolved. Therefore it would appear that bouncing the service is rectifying the problem.
I need to find out what could be the cause of this, as we can not proceed with upgrading the Virus Scanner from 8.0 to 8.5 until I know what is causing this.
