    VirusScan Enterprise: The update failed; see event log.(from Serv04 IP 10.1.0.123)

      Hi all,

      Microsoft MOM reports the following error:

      VirusScan Enterprise: The update failed; see event log.(from Serv04 IP 10.1.0.123 user SYSTEM running VirusScan EntSv 8.0.0 UPD)

      Viruscan is 8.0i and it is has patch 13.

      The problem is that VirusScan is up to date, updates run without problems and there are no errors in the agent log.

      Also, Alert Manager does not report any error regarding failed updates.

      I think that it is MOM which is not correclty reporting from VirusScan, but I can't be sire about that, my knowledge of MOM is equal to zero.

      I have seen a post with the same error and in that case the advice was to reinstall VirusScan.

      I wonder if someone has seen something similar.
