    On-demand scan killing system performance...please help


      We have the on-demand scan running on Thursday for a particular number of systems, since they are laptops and are turned off at the normal scan time of 7pm. we are using 8.7im waiting to deploy 8.8 since there are some issues with it and want to wait for SP1 to come out.


      But when it runs the users complain that the systems just come to a crawl and are usless. I have the scan set to use 10% of the cpu, but still I have 4-core systems crawling.


      is there anything I can do to help?
