Moving ePO to a new IP address

      Hi,

We're currently in the process of virtualising some infrastructure and the ePO server is one that is to virtualised.  When it moves environment, the IP address will change, but the name will stay constant.  Can anyone see any problems with doing this?  Do all agents use DNS to resolve the IP of the ePO?  We're currently using ePO 4.5

      Thanks!

      Chris

This should be fine, as long as DNS is OK. What will happen is the client machines will attempt to connect to the old IP address, fail, do a DNS lookup and then connect to the new IP address. Once they've done this they will receive the new sitelist from the server and from then on will connect directly to the new IP address.
