By updating our server based software on clients Virusscan Enterprise 8.7i discovers W32/Zbot.gen.b.
Some clients discover the Virus others not. In my opinion the software at the server is clean. Is there a bug in virusscan or the dat file? All machines have the latest datfiles and engines. When i copy the software from a running system to the destination directory, of an 'infected' machine, virusscan accepts it and the software works. But i can't do this workaroung for 100 Clients.
Has anyone an idea.
Thanks to all.
Hi KVKL you can try to upload the infected file to virustotal.com and see if any other antivirus engine detects the file as infected.
Otherwise you can send the file to McAfee Labs as a false positive and they will se if it's really a virus or not and in case it's not a virus they will remove its definition from DAT
