    Prevent HTTP communication

      Hello everybody!
      Here is my small problem:
I have installed Mcafee VirusScan 8.5i Enterprise on 2 machines, one vista home edition, one windows 2000 prof, all worked ok, default settings, nothing special.
Then I tried to block the http traffic, both in and out, using the access protection feature, prevent http communication rule. For my surprise I was still able to browse the internet. I tried to remove all the process from the exclusion list, I tried to define a new rule to block all the communication on ports from 1 to 1024 in and out. No luck.
So now I'm a little confused, isn't that the purpose of that rule ?
Maybe I overlooked something, but I have no idea what.

      Have great day,
      R
