    VirusScan 8.8 file cache changes

I read how 8.8 keeps its file cache after a reboot, unlike 8.7, to improve all the scan times.  But isnt there a limit or when does it start overwriting the old file info logged in the cache?  Seems like after a while of use, or for users who add/delete a lot of files on their computer on a daily basis, this would slow down performance after a while since the cache would be filled with "useless" info for files that possibly no longer exist.

The readme and PDFs didnt go into great detail, hopefully someone can clear it up for me.
