This looks like it might be an issue with the Credential Provider - can you please contact Support and quote this thread.
i contacted them almost 2 weeks ago. back when it was the old school safeboot the support was pretty darn good. ever since mcafee took over...well we are exploring other options based on the past couple years. when it takes over a year to patch a system flaw that allows unauthenticated access on a system that is supposed to secure the entire machine...and now more issues...
im simply posting here because i can help other folks.
I can confirm this issue here as well. So far only 1 client but I am sure more calls are coming. I have a case open with Mcafee which I have no doubt will be mysteriously auto-closed or never responded too.

I have exactely the same issue.
this error appear when the user start Outlook not connected to the corporate WAN.
I will open a SR to McAfee. of course, if i will get some answer, i will post here.

update to 5.2.10 will resolve the issue. it did for me. do that upgrade and if it works mark this correct so others know for future.
