    Malware MKRecorder.exe

After conducting a McAfee full scan, the software identified the progrgam MKRecorder as a potential issue - an unwanted program. The registry entry indicates HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths\Recorder.exe

The McAfee website customer support indicated that MKRecorder is malware and directed me to the free online servies linked to their website for its removal.

Following the online instructions in "Required Reading - Home User Assistance Malware Troubleshooting", the Stinger program was run in safe mode with networking support.  The first time it ran no issues were identified and so I ran it again with the recommended changes as posted "Preferences were changed to "On virus detection" to Report Only, the "Heuristics" level to VERY HIGH,  disabled the option to Scan inside compressed files."

      Again, no issues were identified.

The McAfee scan report and Stinger report are both attached.

Can anyone offer a different course of action?
