Are you using or have you used and never uninstalled any beta or RC version of Internet Explorer? If so uninstall and download the final from from Microsoft. It should be listed in installed updates.
You can check IE version by opening it and going to Help/About.
As a precaution run a full scan using the FREE version of THIS software and update it first before running.
If malware prevents you doing that in regular more, do all that in 'Safe Mode with Networking' reached by tapping F8 repeatedly while booting up and selecting #2 from the menu.
It works in that mode.
I did use a beta at one point...
Anyways, I uninstalled IE 9 (which rolled me back to IE 8) then I ran the virus scan from malware, it found an adware file and I deleted it. Then I reinstalled (updated) to IE 9.
But, M still won't open, just a blank window...
Maybe try un/reinstalling M?
Try that and use the MCPR cleanup tool after removing M in the normal way. Reboot and reinstall from the online account.
Regarding beta IE's - they are famous for causing this and it's important when going to final versions of IE that the beta or RC ones are uninstalled first, otherwise some of the nastier traits of said betas carries forward sometimes.
If the removal/reinstall doesn't help then I suggest opening a case with Technical Support online chat.
Hmm it appears I cannot unistall it b/c of the white box problem... I go to uninstall programs and click Mc but the white box of death comes up and nthing happens...
That's really weird. Then run the removal tool, reboot and reinstall from the online account.
By the way Flash not working shouldn't be affected by McAfee - it means Flash has been compromised and needs to be uninstalled/reinstalled. I would check again for malware.
Use Malwarebytes as I suggested and don't forget to update it before running.
You may consider running Hijackthis and posting its log on one of the following forums for expert advice:

Actually I just uninstalled Mc and now Flash worked for the first time in weeks, I tried EVERYTHING regarding flash and virus scans, but I think it was a firewall problem since M was bugged. I'll post again once I reinstall M.
Well good luck and afterwards it wouldn't harm to check that Flash and Shockwave are up to date at Adobe.
