is your server running? Can you ping it from the client?
Is the address / dns name for connection from the client log correct?
This is pretty much always a network connection issue, nothing to do with the product.
how can we access the client log ?
I would add some other informations :
i am running a win XP 32 bit
i am able to ping the EEM and to navigate his files through the network
but, i still got the error message : 0xc4010000 database cannot be reached ...
i ve checked all the settings and i ve recreated a new complete self installation package ... still the same issue !
i tryed on a Win 7 x86 system >> exactly the same issue ... "database cannot be reached"
may someone help me ?
the server is EEM 184.108.40.206
the client is 3.2.5
Please check if your Endpoint Encryption Database Server application/service is running. If it is configured to run as a service make sure the service is running. I was having a similar issue and starting the service resolved it.
3.2.5 would be endpoint encryption for files, to uninstall that, just use the option in add/remove programs. There's no uninstall option in eem for that product.
