ShStat.EXE shows the vshield icon under the M of the epo agent. This (according to 8.5 install instructions) doesnt work after install until reboot (although I've seen it work), do the users still get ShStat.EXE issues after a reboot??
If not then repackage with a request for users to reboot stuck on end of install.
We are also facing same issues in our severs:
* A process was running called "shstat.exe" consumes about 50% of the CPU resources
* This process "shstat.exe" was started by all logins that were on the server.
We are using
1. McAfee(R) VirusScan(R) Enterprise Version 8.0i with SP 16
2. McAfee(R) VirusScan (R) Enterprise Version 8.5i with SP4.
& ePO 4 for updating the daily SDAT on this server.
If it is a terminal server you can disable "shstat.exe". https://knowledge.mcafee.com/article/911/612347_f.SAL_Public.html
Virusscan runs fine without shstat on our Citrix/terminal servers and performance is much better.
or install ePO-Agent 3.6.0 Patch 1
