LinuxShield On-access scanner fails to load

    Mfryksten
Running SUSE Linux Enterprise SErver 9, patched with latest updates.

Installed McAfee LinuxShield 1.2 with sp1. When the OAS loads it says:

"Failed to attach to LinuxShield OAS kernel module (/var/opt/NAI/LinuxShield/dev/ls0) - On-access scanning will not function.."

      Any ideas?

          Hi,

You have to create kernel modules from your source kernel.

There should be a guide in the ls_151_install_guide_en.pdf.

You have to basically build your kernel from source then build the kernel modules from that for linuxshield.

If you run into any problems let me know.
