EEPC 6.1 encryption on Dell Inspiron

    thomo

Hi All,  rolling out version 6.1 to some test users.  Finding that while the disk is being encrypted the PC is virtually unuseable.  Should the encryption process backoff when the user is working, or is there any way to allow this to happen.

Any thoughts please.  Didnt see this with Version 5.

The encryption process should not significantly affect the machine's responsiveness.  The encryption process is a pre-throttled background process for this reason; there is no way to adjust the throttle-point.

Please could you state which OS and which model of Inspiron?  Thanks.
