So we are basically seeing the same issue that is seen here in this post: https://community.mcafee.com/message/182488#182488. To work around the issue for now I just went ahead and pushed out a registry change to turn off the Reader Protected Mode on all of our computers. That worked fine till we came across another issue. In our Library and Learning Center where we have around 65 computers we have items such as Word documents, Web links, and PDF files pinned to the start menu for easy access for our students. When you mouse over one of the pdf files the Start Menu will freeze for 3-4 minutes. If I disable the BOP it fixes the issue. Manually entering the exception for Adobe Reader also fixes it. The pushed setting from the ePO server does not work though I tested the registry entry found in the post that I included and that is the same issue we have.
We need for this setting to be able to be pushed out from the ePO Server. Any suggestions?
Or even better, just a fix in general so that an exclusion is not needed.
