          Resolved issues

Issues from previous releases of the software that are resolved in this patch release are listed below.

          Issue Type Descriptions

          • Issue Operating system failure when renaming a file on a DFS network share..

Resolution The issue has been resolved.

            (BZ#661038)

          • Issue Keywords added to the "ignore matches" (exclude) section of text patterns are evaluated as case sensitive, which gives false positive results.

Resolution The issue has been resolved. The keywords that are added to the "ignore matches" section of a text pattern definition are now searched as case-insensitive.

            (BZ#648268)

          • Issue Unable to modify the certain registry keys after agent installation, which can block installation of other software. Resolution The issue has been resolved.

            (BZ#639847)

          • Issue Rule names longer that 100 characters break communication between the McAfee Agent and ePolicy Orchestrator.

Resolution The issue has been resolved. The software displays an error message when rule names are too long.

            (BZ#635614)

          • General improvement Self-remediation
            • If you remove hdlpflt from the registry, remediation occurs after reboot and the agent should be fully functional.
            • If you remove all five hdlp* entries from the registry, remediation occurs after the second reboot.
            • Self remediation does not return the hdlp*.sys files to c:\Windows\System32\drivers\ if you deleted them.

also mentions this is compatable with ePO 4.6 so im guessing alot of people have been holding off on upgrading until this patch was released.
