    32Blaster.worm

I installed McAfee Total Protection 2 months ago. 2 days ago a Blaster worm got under the McAfee radar. It is blocking everything except the Internet. I cannot get into MS Office, defrag, Task Manager, my anti spyware programs or McAfee. The only thing I can do is a scan. Here is the info from there IP Number.  HELP!!!! I'm unemployed and can't afford to lose all of the information on my hard drive.

What is your operating system and service pack and are you totally up to date with Windows Updates?   The monthly security updates on the second Tuesday of every month have included protection against this for several years now - in the shape of Microsoft Malicious Software Removal Tool.

Boot into 'Safe Mode with Networking' by tapping F8 repeatedly while booting up and the doiw the following...all will work in that mode.

Go HERE and download the FREE version, update it and then run a full scan.  Let it remove anything it finds and reboot id asked.
