The remote call centres handle anything that the local switchboards can't.
According to the links under McAfee Support at the top of this page...there are delays
Telephone Customer Service
To speak with a Customer Service representative, call 020 79490107. You may be asked for your registered email address and order number. Telephone charges may apply.
Estimated wait time: 10-30 minutes
Hours of Operation: 09.00-18.00 local, Monday through Friday
We are currently experiencing high call volumes, resulting in high hold times in the queue. We apologize for this inconvenience; customers will be answered in the order received.
The online chat will be picked up in a remote call centre regardless but maybe they can help you?
What's the problem?
Moved to 'My Account Online'.
if you read my question it does state i have been trying the number 020 79490107 which is as you say overflow centre in the Phillipines.
That call centre gave me 01753217431 for a UK call centre to get a refund.
Perhaps you ought to re read my original question
I did read the question, and nowhere did I see that you were seeking s refund. I just thought that maybe there was a question I could answer, obviously not. I'll flag this in the hope that someone from McAfee Customer Service will spot it and contact you.
so if you wanted to contact the UK call centre for any matter, does it justify being on hold for 3 hours, NO i`m sure not.
I have even sent an email to redconsultancy to try to contact UK.
Totally disgusting service
I've flagged the issue folr the managers to read. I can't promise anything but it may help.
I'm not familiar with redconsultancy, sorry.
Was all of this today, or last Friday? I know that there were some major changes being implemented on Friday in the UK centres. Perhaps everything didn't go according to plan.
I tried the number that kept you waiting for 3 hours and after no more than 90 seconds I was (I assume) transferred to another location. The phone was answered in under two minutes.
I'm sorry you had such a hard time getting through. I related your experience to a very understanding Russian (I think - he spoke excellent English), and someone from McAfee should be getting in touch with you (probably by Private Message).
Hayton had arranged for someone to contact you, did they?
Sorry for the inconvenience caused here, perhaps if you could brief us the issue, we have some excellent people here on board who would jump in with solutions . Please give it a try and we will be with you.
