    Why has my Mcafee AV stopped scanning on schedule?

      I noticed this AM that McAfee tired to update the AV in my system tray and it would not. I began checking and found that the AV has not autos-canned on schdule since February 14. Can anyone help an oldster

      with why and what to do for this problem?

          Hi there,


          Could you please let us know some of the basic information about your computer ;

          What is the operating system ? (windows XP/vista/7)
          Do you have any other security software installed ?
          What is the DAT version of virus scan . (Click Navigation on security center and then click About)
          How old is the computer ?

          Did you try changing the scheduled scan timings and see if the scan runs as scheduled  ? If not follow the below steps and update us on the outcome .

          1. Right-click the M icon by your system clock.
          2. Click VirusScan.
          3. Click Options.
          4. The VirusScan Options window appears. Click the Scheduled Scan tab.
          5. Check the box next to Scan My Computer at a scheduled time.
