what is the version of agent, engine & virus scan......
Kindly check if there is enough space in C drive........
Remove the TestEngDat32 from "C:\Temp\TestEngDat32"...... and try again
Download the SDAT from the McAfee site and try to run it manually.......
i have deleted C:\Temp\TestEngDat32
but its still same issue
Have you check, is there is enough space in C drive on the problem machine.?
what is agent & patch version have you installed?
Have you try to run Super DAT manually on the machine?
Have you tried manually getting the superdat and forcing the install /f
this worked for me
then it auto updated after that all on its own
I am using Epo 4.5 Build 937, McAfee Agent 126.96.36.1999 , virusscan 188.8.131.520 patch 4, antispyware 184.108.40.206
and RDP is not allowed in my organization what ever i have to do is through EPO or through pstools and i can play with registries,
i have uninstalled virus scan and antispyware through epo and removed agent though pstools , but i dont know what registry entries are to be deleted for complete uninstallation.
As RDP is not allowed i cannot install SDAT
I have found this works using pstools to install sdat remotely
psexec @pcs.txt -u %domain%\%adminusername% \\%serversharepath%\sdat6278.exe /SILENT /F
just throw hostname in text file
code 0 is success
code 66 failure (usually out of space)
there may be some others
One other thing that springs to mind is how much space on the system drive do they have left once AV is reinstalled as less that a 200MB and you may get this failure
The system drive has 25gb free disk space , i feel after DAT6266 few pcs are not getting updated with latest DAT and in few pcs they r not getting
updated when i wake up agents from epo, but when i connect from virusscan (remote pc) from my pc and then i click update , then those pcs are getting updated. The agent on client pcs are communicating with epo server, i am facing issue with DAT update.
i dont know why it is happening, there are minimum of 25 pcs i am facing this issue out of 800
I have copied SDAT file on that client pc
C:\SDAT6278 and say Client pc name : CLIENT1
how do i execute the command using PSTOOLS silently to install SDAT on that PC
please guide me
The answer is here:
But like i said before just use the /f option on the superdat to test first before looking to delpoy it. Once the dat has been updated try and run auto update the next day and if succesful then look for deployment methods.
