Moving to correct area this is a corporate product not home
Well the Solidifier has a Memory Protection function that can detect unfriendly attempts to access the kernel but not there is not real anti virus functionality. You can down load the latest product from the product download page. If you are having issue with a formal release please open a support case and if we have a hotfix for an issue you are seeing we will send it to you.
Solidcore is an application whitelisting product. It's unlike an anti-virus product which is dependent on daily signatures and heuristics to find out malicious programs.
So prior to solidification, if you system does contain some malicious code - solidcore is not going to detect that for you. If you solidify the systems with the malicious code that will be seen by solidcore as an authorized code rather than a malicious code.
Hope this helps.
First of all solidcore/application control will not allow anything to execute which is not authorized or whitelist. if a malware or exploit attacks the machine, solidcore/MAC tracks the memory address or area from where the system calls is generating and if the area is writable or suspicious, system call is blocked.
