Am looking at removing all HIPS 7 from my test group in preparation to installing HIPS 8. But have found that when using a deployment task (remove) it will pop up on the client that HIPS has been uninstalled. Is there any way to do a silent uninstall. Am also having problems uninstalling on some PC's as it seems to install Patch 8 after the uninstall. So HIPS is being removed then put back on again. I have made sure the deployment task for installing HIPS has been removed, but the clients still seem to see it when troubleshooting through McAfee Status Agent Monitor.
Any ideas? Or anyone had same issues.
