You should open your virusscan console and then On Access Scanner->Properties->All processes->Exclusions->Exclusions->Add and use a wildcard (i.e. *.rep)
But you should be sure about this because you will exclude any .rep file from beeing processed by OAS

Your method is to exclude it but i still want it to be scanned as the file itself is not infected.
Just don't know why the VSE locked it under the Netapp FAS .snapshot folder =(
Does VSE detects it as any kind of virus or it does only lock the file?
This is what we see from the log
Result String [Error reading file, the scanner does not have rights to open/read file.] Result Status 
I believe thats the reason of the file been denied access as it was unable to scan it.
If the VSE is able to scan the file on volume level, why it was deny access to scan the files in the .snapshot folder?
How can we recify the issue?
