How do you check if a hotfix has been installed on VirusScan 8.7i

McAfee gave us an important hotfix HF613556. When we install it on a standalone McAfee VirusScan 8.7i system is does not show up under the "About". Is there a registry key that can show whether the hotfix has been installed or not?

We do have EPO, and we can run a SQL query to find hotfixes under managed systems. However, we have hundreds of student systems where we install McAfee VirusScan 8.7i in an unmanaged state (no controlled by ePO).

For the virus software that we give to students we usually create a custom package via installation designer. What is the best way to add a hotfix via installation designer? I did noticed that you can add the hotfix via installation designer, but it is asking for a *.msp file. There is no msp file in the hotfix folder. Where do find that?
