You seem to have done all that is necessary maybe retry above as sometimes the server is offine.
If no chop contact chat (technical support link) above and ask for an escalation if the chat tech cannot see the issue .
No other AVs installed?
No other AV installed, have tried installation many times, both from CD & download, all seem to complete
then the message couldn't install, will try tech support
I do understand the situation the main reasons that, run the preinstall tool on vista & 7,
Steps to do before installing :
1 :- Run the MCPR tool (mcafee removal tool)
2 :- Delete the Temp files start---all programes--Accessories--run---(type %temp%) delete all
3 :- make sure that you do not have any other AV traces in the system
4 :- log in to the mcafee website (us.mcafee.com )
5 :- you will be able to see the link in order to download the product

Also you are not behind a proxy are you?
Thanks for the suggestions guys, they have all been tried, & no I'm not behind a proxy, I had a McAfee support tech remotely inside my computer
Friday night for 2 hours until he gave up, he tried everything he knew, I beleive he has escalated it to the next level of support, still waiting to hear something.
