Excluded Files and Folders in Security as a Service

One of our database programs has been running real slow.  It appears that S aa S is scanning it even though it is excluded.  I have exluded the file name, and just the extension (.mdb) as well but it is still scanning the file.  Any thoughts?

          Hi,

          I have read your post.

          Please follow the below steps.

Login into your online security center console and click on policies on the top and click on "edit" on the policy.

Now, on the left pane select Virus and spyware protection and under spyware protection mode select reports.

Now, select the exclude files and folders tab on the top

Select the type and then enter the location or the path of the particular file that is being deleted and allow it.

If possible please try to exclude the full folder by entering the path of the folder.

Please save the changes and then add the computer to this policy.

Give a right click on the M icon on the computer and select "Update Now" to run a manual update.

Please check if the above steps resolves the issue that you are facing.

          Regards

I have done that.  Can you tell me what the format should be?  I have:

            Folder\kc5\[Remove]
            Folder\\bruno\kc5\[Remove]
            FileWKENNEL.MDB[Remove]
            FolderK:\[Remove]
            FileKCW5.EXE[Remove]
            File\\bruno\Program Files\KC5[Remove]
            Folder\Program Files\KC5\[Remove]
            Folder\\bruno\Program Files\KC5\[Remove]
            File Extension.mdb[Remove]
            File Extensionmbd

And there is still a major delay when accessing that database.  If I remove McAfee from the machines, I have no problems.  Any other thoughts?

Thank you so much for your response.

              Hi,

Try to enter the complete path of the folder location rather than the way you have entered.

If the folder is located in the program files in the C drive.

Then please start from C:\Program files\ and then enter the folder.

              Regards
