"Feature"? No, it is rather a design flaw.
Change password policy to accomodate that. I suggest using very strong password and remove need to change it periodically.
Thanks for the reply. I like that idea. I also like the idea of smart cards. No password changing ever and a nice 2nd factor.
Does doing a "Machine Recovery" update the token ? My tech asked me, " When I boot an older machine that I dont know the password for and I do a machine recovery instead of trying to login, will that update the token? "
My instinct is to say no, because you're not really logging in preboot.
this pw sync behaviour is no longer an issue, we fixed it in the latest build 528. old pws wont ever cause issues now. we changed the code to stop this . upgrade to 528 , and this will fix your problem
