A few of our remote users were having problems with the McAfee Agent not taking the proper policies. After a long troubleshooting process with no success we decided just to reinstall the VSE without installing the agent. Everything went fine except the OAS is in a "not running" status. Our admin suggested disabling Access Protection and then toggling it, but the option is still greyed out no matter what. We looked through the running Services and found the Mcafee McShield service set to run automatically, but it wasn't currently on. Any attempts to start the services yielded the error below.
Could not start the McAfee McShield service.
Error 1075 – The dependency service does not exist or has been marked for deletion
And that's where we left off. Any ideas? Thanks for any help!

When we did the re-install, we were given a link to the old 8.5 version. Apparently uninstalling 8.7 and reinstalling 8.5 leaves behind some tidbits that makes thing not-work-right.
I'm reinstalling the most current version and expect everything to work ok.
