First thing I think of when I see 'Marked for deletion' is "This puppy needs a reboot". That's a good place to start.

When we did the re-install, we were given a link to the old 8.5 version. Apparently uninstalling 8.7 and reinstalling 8.5 leaves behind some tidbits that makes thing not-work-right.
I'm reinstalling the most current version and expect everything to work ok.
