Can you please check if you already have Patch 3 or 4 installed? They fix several issues with the Security Center. You can check the version with rightclick on the Mcafee Taskbar Icon and About.
We are having Installed Patches: 3 I have attached image for your reference.
We have already raised case with Mcafee.. they sent to refer the Kb69778 article. Whereas here no solution provided to fix the issue.
Inour enviornment assume out of 10 desktops two users are facing this issue. Ensured all the 10 users are having same OS / Office / Patches etc.,
Hi Mcafee Team,
Can you post any update for the below issue.
Actually I'm just now having the same issue.
I'm just upgrading my staff users from 8.5p8 to 8.7p4
In outlook programmaric access-
XP with 8.5 AV status shows as valid
XP with 8.7 AV status shows as invalid
Windows7 with 8.7 AV status shows as valid.
This is causing a huge problem as a package which send emails via outlook, now pops up asking to allow access for every email to be sent purely because the status is shown as invalid.
In referencing the KB:69778
Why then does W7 with 8.7p4 show as valid?????
Can anyone answer this please?

we have got exact the same problem in our EPO environment. In recent installations (8.7i) status is shown as 'Invalid' in Outlook Trustcenter. That's a serious problem for us because some business critical applications are sending mails via Outlook.
Are there any news?
No news- my support call is still underway.
I suggest you open a support call for this and any findings (like different VirusScan versions/ OS etc) you have.
