What McAfee product are you using?
McAfee Total Protection 2011 - 3 users
Moved from Corporate User Assistance to SecurityCenter 10 - 2010.
Double-click the taskbar icon to open SecurityCenter
Click Web and Email Protection to expand it
Click Program Permissions
It should have full permission, if it doesn't click the Edit button to change it
If it isn't listed click the Add button and locate firefox.exe in your Program folder and add it with full permissions.
See if that helps.
hix i tried ur steps but still not work ..... i tried everything : turned off firewall + tried things like u said
btw my laptop model : ASUS Notebook G73Jh Series , window 7 - 64 bit
still cant connect with any web site
ah 1 more thing ... my Yahoo massenger had a same problem .... couldnt connect too
so u have another step to fix all these problem ?
plz help me out ...
Try making Internet Explorer 8 (32-bit NOT 64-bit) your default browser and see if that helps.
Are other programs reaching the internet OK?
Have you checked for new drivers for your LAN or however you connect to the internet?
If that doesn't help then I suggest you try Technical Support Chat linked under Useful Links above.
why do i need to try IE8 ??? because i'm using it ... just problem with firefox
btw i checked my update online ASUS and saw something wait to update
so it will be fix after finish my update ?
and can u give me some web site Technical Support Chat (good ) ??
I just suggested it to maybe proivide you with internet access. I am only a volunteer here so the Chat Line is actually McAfee technicians.
Link here: http://service.mcafee.com/TechSupportHome.aspx?lc=1033&sg=TS and choose your language if available at the top right.
I can only suggest that you check that Firefox, Windows and McAfee are totally up to date.
McAfee particularly relies on Internet Explorer whether you use it or not so it should be always kept up to date also, and should be set to its default settings.
