    Web Reporter Installation Issue

I am new to McAfee and we are in the process of rolling out MWG VMs.  We are at the point now where we have a MSFT 2008 standard 32-bit VM where we are trying to install Web Reporter 5.1.1.  After the install Web Reporter and installing Java 6.22, the services are up and running, but when we hit the Web Reporter web page on port 9111, Java tries to connect, but fails to run.

Any ideas on what we should review?

            It's working now.

We built our Development Web Reporter server as a VMware VM with 40 GB disk space and 4 GB ram.  The OS is Windows Server 2008 32-bit standard.  We will use 64-bit when we build our production server (per McAfee's recommendations for best performance).

The Java add-on in IE8 did not work, so we loaded Java 6.23.  We put localhost and the IP of the server into the Internet Options / Connection / Connections Lan Settings / Proxy server / Advanced so that we would not contact a proxy server for local access to the server.

The firewall service is turned off, but we will probably enable it making sure access is allowed on ports 9111 and 9112.

This is a shot in the dark, but when you enter the URL to get to reporter, enter only  http://IP:9111

Don't enter the full URL path of http://IP:9111/reporter/client.jsp

Some people bookmark the full path instead of the root / and that can cause some weirdness the first time you logon.
