When I run Virtual Technician it says the problems are fixed, but then says "DAT Out of Date."
Clicking on <update" does not work.
Right-clicking on the M icon does not work.
When I try to open McAfee I get a blank white rectangle.
How do I know if my anti-virus is working?

Need more information please. Can you double-click the taskbar icon and open SecurityCenter then click Navigation at top right, then "About" at left.
Post what details are showing for VirusScan.
Also check that you system clock is accurate both time and timezone-wise.
If the SecurityCenter continues to show blank please see this thread for guidance regarding browsers, settings etc.
OK best to uninstall via Control Panel, then run the MCPR removal tool listed under Useful Links above, reboot and reinstall from your online account.
