I would recommend you run the McAfee Virtual Technician found at the top of this page under Useful Links under Technical Support. MVT will scan your computer for any McAfee related issues and if it finds any it will attempt to fix them.
After MVT runs please reboot the computer and let us know if this resolves your issue.
Could you please confirm whether you are using the consumer version / enterpirse version of McAfee ?
Also, please let us know the version of your virus scan ?
