I have read your post.
Please let us know if the Windows 2008 Server your running is a 32-bit or a 64-bit Operating system.
Also please let us know if it is a R2 version of the 2008 Server operating system.
It's both 32-bit and 64-bit Server 2008 (not R2)... however, it's not a problem with McAfee. I've found the cause of the problem, which turned out to be a change to a Group Policy Object.
Strangely, setting the default Regional settings in Group Policy completely screws Windows Server 2008. Simply removing this GPO fixed everything.
I have read your reply.
