Information about DNSChanger Trojans (the 'redirect virus')

    Hayton

It pays to read as widely as possible. I came across an excellent blog from 2008 by Craig Schmugar in McAfee Blog Central which explains what DNSChanger Trojans are and what they do. There is a link in there, to a CNET report, which no longer works, which is a pity.

If anyone is still baffled by the symptoms of the 'redirect virus' you might like to read this blog.

btw, I notice that there have been three McAfee DAT updates in rapid succession over the weekend. Fingers crossed that one of them has the fix in it.

Edit : there are some more blogs on the same subject from Blog Central (a useful resource, this) here -

And I've amended the thread title - blogs aren't really official McAfee information.
