Issue with Repository on 1 Machine

    jbaker

      Hello everyone,

One of our user's machines is having a rough time getting repository updates.

11/3/2010 5:42:52 PM NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM Unable to find a valid repository.
11/3/2010 5:42:52 PM NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM Update process failed.

Now, this is when one of our machine admins is signed into the machine. But, if our domain-admin account signs into the machine, the repository appears to update correctly.

It will go weeks on end without any updates to the repository, but then randomly out of the blue it will fix itself.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

      Edit:

Is it configured to point to a http or UNC repository?

It sounds like an authentication issue where the local admin doesn't have access to the network share whereas the domain admin would. Although the login credentials are normally provided by epo.

If its a UNC repo then the first step would be to double check the credentials, specifically the 'Download credentials (agent to repository):' creds.

Then check the credentials against the shared folder.

It points to an HTTP repository.
