We recently added McAfee Agent 4.5.0 & McAfee VirusScan 8.7.0 to a bunch of VMWare virtual machines and found that cpu utilization keeps spiking throughout the day. We have event stripped down our Assigned Policies & Client Tasks to the bare minimum and still finding that the VM servers are still showing high cpu utilization. The admin staff stress that McAfee activity is preventing them from performing vMotion and other admin tasks. Is anyone familiar with VMWare VM's and McAfee? Do you have any advise that can help me resolve this issue.

We are new to McAfee, but we found the 2 GB of disk space was insufficient due to high swap use.

Using the 'top' command (logged into the MWG via ssh) we found the VM was using as much as 1.5 GB of swap space.  We increased the VM from 2 GB to 4 GB and have not seen high swap use.

The documentation for MWG 7 says it is highly recommended to use more than 2 GB of memory.
