Please try the following:
1. Open Internet Explorer> Tools> Internet Options> Advanced> Click on Reset> Click OK and close the internet explorer
2. Start> Click on Run> Type CMD> Click OK> Type regsvr32 jscript.dll> Click on OK
3. Start> Click on Run> Type CMD> Click OK> Type regsvr32 vbscript.dll> Click on OK
4. Start> Click on Run> Type CMD> Click OK> Type regsvr32 scrrun.dll> Click on OK
Now check the status of the McAfee Security Center, it should work now...
thanks for your support. I guess the behavior depends on Internet Explorer 9. With IE 8 the security center works correct.
Thats right, IE 9 still on beta and McAfee doesnt support beta programs. Glad that you have got your issue resolved. Please do open a new thread if any other issues.
