    weird duplicate computers

    mcdave

      Hi

Since a few days I see many duplicate computers in our system tree (sometimes up to 10 duplicates per client)

In the query "Duplicate Systems Names" doesn't find them as duplicates.

Ever weirder is that when I select (mark) one of the duplicate computers in the system tree, all the computers with the same name are selected as well.

What could be the cause of this behaviour and how can I resolve this?

      regards

      Dave

          Hi Dave

          Have you fixed this issue?

What version of ePO, SQL and Web Browser you using?

You can test to see if the data is stored within SQL by running below commands replacing the Red bits with your information.

          ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --

          SELECT

          [ParentID]

          ,[ComputerName]

FROM [ePO4_INSERTDATABASENAME].[dbo].[EPOComputerProperties] WHERE ComputerName LIKE 'COMPUTERNAME'

          GO

          ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --

          ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --

          EXECUTE

          [ePO4_INSERTDATABASENAME].[dbo].[EPOComputer_GetByID]

          INSERTParentID

          GO

            ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --

          Regards,

          Ian

            The issue is still present

The SQL querie and it confirms that the data exists in the database.

I also tried removing the diplicates from the epo tree but they all come back duplicated ???

This is very anoying because all our reports & queries are fault (all the duplicates are included)

What else can I do, suggestions?

            Used:

            - ePO 4.5 + patch3

            - Firefox 3.6.13 & IE8

            - SQL (2005) v9.00.4035.00

            regards

            Dave

Is there anything selected from "Detected Systems" columns  in the system tree  (Actions > Choose Columns) ? If so,  remove these columns and you should see only one machine.

              Regards,
