Disk - Set Algorithm, then auth from SBFS.
(I suspect you may have a very old version of SafeTech. We're using 5.23)
What version of EEPC do you have installed on that PC and which version of SafeTech do you use?
Can you get Disk Information properly?
Hmmnot sure if this help..
Sometimes Safetech may ask for algorithm to be set –
go to Algorithm | Set Disk Algorithm and Select the correct algorithm..
To confirm which algorithm you disk was used
check on disk information
ALG ID under disk information from logical disk number
note: only good encrypted disk having this info
No need to rely on Disk Information if the same algorithm is being used for all machines in your organization consistently.
Just use the same algortithm as on any healthy machine.
the alg id is depends on alg choosed for enviroments isn't..
i've seen alg issue in safetech but not "AUTHENTICATING THE USER FAILED WITH ERROR: E002000A"
maybe sdb file corupted
No, not sdb file corrupted. It is "disk information not present". Typical error when EEPC protected files are not in a place where they are expected.
Ok if disk information not available then
to check the correct ALG is from loadable modules from EEM
About | Modules
C:\Program Files\Mcafee\Endpoint Encryption Manager\SbAlgs\*
That might not be possible, since access to disk file system is yet to be repaired (therefore the need to use SafeTech).
Maybe you confuse that i;m refering to EEM endpoint Encryption Managerto check Algorithm..
