    automation tasks on ePO

      Hello,

I have some automatic tasks that are scheduled on ePO server (antivirus signatures updates, reports are generated every hours,  etc ...)

For couple of days now none of these tasks are running anymore. They are still scheduled and I can see when the next run is expected to be done, but doesn't happen. When I launch the task manually it works.

Have you guys seen something like that?

      Cheers

A couple of possibilities - are there any errors in the orion logs? (They can be a bit cryptic so feel free to post them here if you like.)
Also - sounds silly, but does restarting the ePO services have any effect?

          HTH -

          Joe

            Joe,

I didn't try to restart the service yet.

I've looked at orion logs, indeed doesn't speek so much

              Hm, nothing useful there
Try restarting the services and see if that has an effect...

                ok, thanks, I'll try that.

Which services should I restart ?

McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator Application Server ?

                McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator Event Parser?

                McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator Server?

                all of them ?

All of them - if you're on ePO 4.5 they have dependencies so restarting the application server will prompt you to restart the others.

                    hi !

this works; thanks for your help Joe !

Glad it worked... doesn't really help us understand why it happened, but at least it's fixed

I would suggest that, if it keeps happening, open a case with support.

                      Thanks -
