Do you have epo set to sync with AD? these could be duplicates or just unmanaged entries being imported from AD
yes the sync is done with AD but these machine are not duplicated.
Once the agent is installed and it communicates with epo its state managed correct?
yes but you may for example have old agents that havnt talked back for a while scavenged away with server task and they could then be added back in from AD.
if you check the agents are they running and communicating back with epo in their logs?
no I don't have communication logs ; it's like they were never managed but I know they were managed not so long ago ...
I compared an EPO extraction from today and the one I extracted last week:
200 active PC have a different status :
145 managed on the last week are not managed today
55 not managed on the last week are managed on today
I also compared with an old extraction from last month and we have some PC are managed once month ago, not managed last week and managed today.
Do you know if there is specific defined duration that change the state to unmananged (like the agent did not communicate with epo for 1 week / 1 month ... so it switchs to unmanaged?
but to anwser your question when we look at the agent on the user's PC ; they are running well, everything is working fine but they appear in unmanaged list.
