Have you by any chance enabled Content Advisor in Internet Explorer? If so try disabling it.
Regardless of what browser is your default, McAfee relies on Internet Explorer for connections.
In IE go to Tools/Internet Options/Advanced and click Reset, Apply and OK any prompts.
Close and reopen IE.
Go to Tools/Manage Add-ons and re-enable the Add-ons. Try again.
No Go. Reset both x86 and x64 IE browsers.
Now that's given me a clue. On a 64-bit machine you should make IE x86 (32-bit) the default, not the x64 version. It's more of a novelty than anything else as most add-ons, plug-ins etc. wont work with the 64-bit browser.
Check that out, meanwhile I'll look around for more clues.
Did a forum search and came across this:
Win Vista or 7
1. Click the Windows Button and type cmd.exe into the search bar.
2. Right-click cmd.exe in the search list, and select Run as Administrator.
3. Type the following text, then press ENTER:
c:\program files\mcafee\msc\mcoemmgr.exe /regserver
4. Right-click the M icon in your taskbar and select either Activate, Activate Now, Register, or Register Now.
5. Follow the instructions.
If that fails try uninstalling, running the MCPR removal tool in the Useful Links at the top of this forum, rebooting and reinstalling from your online account.

sir with the help of support via chat i was able to activate the antivirus but now there is another problem...i had paid for 15 months subscription to dell but the security centre shows that it is validfor only 30 days...what should i do??
