No..you need safetech for emergency boot.
you can create safetech from EEMmenu
Recovery | Create Safetech boot disk
it's basically 1.4k floppy images
If you don;t have floppy then try used virtual floppy like virtual floppy drive http://chitchat.at.infoseek.co.jp/vmware/vfd.html
to create this floopy image drive
Then used it for cd bootdisk.
Floppy (could be USB attached one) has that advantage that you can put SDB file on it, if you need to authenticate from database.
Yeap usb is my choice to incorporate wintech safetech and other bootable recovery tools.
In our enviroments we create multi bootable iso with isolinux (wintech&safetech) for site it to burn it on cd.
with plug and play module for bartpe is enough for them to get sdb file from usb and do the recovery
used syslinux for usb bootable and isolinux for iso/cd bootable.
Hi, I follow your guide , but when I want to creat safetech boot disk in EEM , it says "Failed to Creat Safetech Boot Disk"
I use VFD, and I can do the format of the Drive A.
I try to use safetech disk of 5.1.3 on client 5.2.4 , seems fail.
did you specify the floppy a: for creatingthe bootdisk?
maybe you still view the floopy A: so the program failed to modified the floppy.
if you still failed try browse Program Files\McAfee\Endpoint Encryption Manager\SafeTech and used the bootdisk.exe
