I too had the same problem and had no luck with McAfee phone support. Very frustrating experience!!!
I think I have the problem resolved though. Read this link, I did solutions 1 and 2 and it seemed to solve the problem
Thanks so much. This did the trick. McAfee is currently activated and is working on an update.
I can't believe that the Tech Support Techs couldn't have pointed me to this KB article in the first place. I also wish that when I Googled that article would have came up.
