This link from McAfee will assist in removing virus and malware. You should refer to it in the future if you have any issues.
In reading your post although I understand what you are saying, the report you are reading it shows the results in a way that is ongoing. In other words the more it finds the higher the numbers will go.My reports tells me it found 2 trojans back in March 2010 and has not found any since then, but as I use more programs the firewall permissions number goes up. The only way to reset everything to zero is to uninstall and reinstall the software and since I am not having any problems, I am not going to do this. Believe me if your computer is having issues, you will know it and I do not think you need to worry about it now. Your green banner is displayed and that is good.

Also disable your system restore, reboot and reenable it and see what it says. Reenable it after you sure you are clean

I get what you're saying, if it detects a virus in gets added to the list. The list doesn't say what problems you currently have, but all the problems you've ever had on the machine. Thank you, I was freaking out!
