My EPO version is 3.61.
I dont think McAfee can support to reset ePO password for you! Now don't have any KB show you steps to reset ePO password .
Contact mcafee support with your grant number through the service portal they CAN aid you in doing this
Just a heads-up.
It's probably more going to be the case that ePO 3.6.1 is no longer supported by McAfee at all that will be the issue here.
It's been unsupported for a while now i'm afraid.
Apologies for being the bearer of potential bad-tidings for you.
Nothing ventured nothing gained, and it IS technically possible as I've seen lots of people have this done over the years.
I suppose you may have to pay for it though as its no longer supported
I would imagine that if the purpose of wanting the password reset was so that you could then upgrade to a supported version, then there would be no problem...
Thank you all.
I think I will update the version to 4.5
