I'm afraid I'm not sure what you mean - can you explain a bit more what you are trying to do? Are you trying to check in a superdat to an ePO server? Or update a VSE 8 machine using a superdat?
VirusScan 8.0i has been at "end of life" for some time.
There are no new DAT updates available for it.
The only option is to upgrade to a current, supported product.
Please see support article KB52201.
VirusScan Enterprise (VSE) 8.0i will reach End of Life on March 31, 2010. There will not be any support after this date on any basis due to V1 DAT files becoming obsolete at the same date. VSE 8.0i does not support V2 DAT files. Any computers running VSE 8.0i not updated by this time will lose antivirus protection updates.
McAfee recommends that you do the following:
- Minimally upgrade to VSE 8.5i before 31 March 2010.
- Upgrade to the latest version of VSE immediately, because this offers the maximum available protection. Upgrades are free of charge with a valid Grant Number.
This is senthil,Thanks for your response. In our Mcafee server the sdate.exe file updated upto march-11/2010.After that i didnot update unfortunately. Now i am going to update current sdate file its showing error message your check in pacage failed.i could not able to update sadte file.how can i update sdate.exe file.Pla help me.
VSE 8.0 uses V1 Dats. V1 dats are no longer released since the end of March 2010.
You will need to upgrade from VSE 8.0 to a supported version of VirusScan.
The Sdat will not work, and we no longer make an Sdat, or in fact any dat that will work for VSE 8.0.
