After completing the recommendations in the link you could also try running Malwarebytes www.malwarebytes.org and SuperAntispyware www.superantispyware.com both of these programs are free and are good to keep on your computer to scan occasionally for malware and spyware. You may need to rename the download files to something you can easily remember and also rename the installation folder. The reason for this is spyware and malware are often written to protect themselves so by renaming them the programs may not see them as a threat. Download and install and then check for the latest updates and then run the program and let it clean everything it finds. Reboot the computer and then do the same for the other program.
I keep both of these programs in my computer and run each one of them once a week. McAfee works well with both of these programs and many users have had good results with them.
